New Tracks Live

Just added a few new tracks that I’ve written or arranged for people, I can do a varied list of genres when the mood takes me! Examples of various genres is a collection of dance music I’ve done over the past few years, plus some gregorian chanting… Ambient Piano is a work in progress I co-wrote recently, totally different to the sort of thing I usually do, thought it would be worth an upload even though it’s not 100% finished. I’ve also uploaded ‘When Love Takes Over’, an extract from a backing track I did for my friend Jon Cook (see links). Last but not least is a heavy guitar retro cover I completed recently for the old computer game ‘Last Ninja 2′ – loads of fun!

Celtic Piano is now available from iTunes and Amazon!

It’s official, you can now download Celtic Piano from two of the biggest online MP3 stores, iTunes and Amazon (UK and US stores). Very exciting stuff, will update when it hits more of the online stores, which will include the streaming site, Spotify.

I’ve added a couple of new pages to the site – videos and store. Both are pretty self-explanatory, the video page has my You Tube videos on it, random stuff that I’ve done and am pleased with. The store page is quite exciting – I’m getting Celtic Piano put onto most of the online stores, so that should you feel the urge you can go and spend your hard earned cash on it. I’ll update the site when it’s live.

Just come back from Puttaparthi in India, took a choir of kids over and ended up performing to over 10,000 people! I also worked with Dana Gillespie, the legendary blues singer! Lovely lady, she was doing another choir in the same programme as me. Definitely the biggest gig I’ve ever done, I’ll post some photos when I get them.

Had a bike accident a few weeks ago, and decided to do something completely different while I recovered, so with the prompting of Adam over at axeman’s place (see links) I did a homage to the old C64 classic tune, Last Ninja 2. To be more specific (and a little geeky!) it’s from the first level ‘Central Park’. It just lends itself so well to a guitar and drums make-over that I couldn’t resist. Makes a change from celtic piano eh?

Did a one-off gig yesterday with my old band ‘Mumbo Jet’ – 1st one in 12 years, it was great fun! Nice to let my hair down (so to speak!) and do a bit of good old fashioned rock-n-roll. Also great to be on stage performing songs you’ve written – I think our tag line should be probably be ‘Catchy melodies, just don’t listen too carefully to the lyrics…’, mind you, we were only 16 when we wrote most of the songs!

Thanks to our army of loyal fans (well, friends and family and people who remembered us from back in the day) and to Ad for taking those great photos.

Well, after an enforced re-design due to some hacker who put a virus on my old site, the new site is looking pretty good. Thought I’d drag it into the 21st century and get rid of the links page, now situated on the right, now, if I can just get the animated flickr photostream working…
